What They Say

First, I want to thank you for your sharing your knowledge and expertise with us on the Internet. Second, I want to compliment you on your ability to communicate a very involved process of calculating products, whether by Draft Survey or Bunker Survey. I am a degree’d naval architect with 10 years of N/A design and construction experience, then a marine surveying career of over 20 years. I have performed nearly 1,000 Draft Surveys or On / Off Hire Bunker Surveys. I now need to pass my expertise to my young inspectors/surveyors. I know how to perform these surveys but I am not a teacher. “Too close to the forest to see the trees.” I recently used your examples to show how to perform a Draft Survey. I used your examples along with my performed surveys to show procedure and calculation. I would appreciate an example of a Bunker Survey, similar to your Draft Survey example, to use as a teaching tool. I could take these young surveyors with me but I am getting older and climbing ladders and sounding tanks is a stress. Any way you could assist me in directing and training these young maritime trainees would be appreciated. Thank you.
